"Let it be in silence. Close the story, there's no wrongdoing.

"In reality, there's no offence under Section 39; it's related to election petitions, not displaying (the ballot paper) while voting.

"All the legal experts and judges have referred to it; go and read it," he said at a press conference after Kedah Flag-raising campaign at a supermarket, here, today.

Earlier, it was reported that the police would summon Sanusi over his act to display his ballot paper to media personnel during the state election polling day on Saturday.

Razarudin had further said that the police are considering "appropriate recommendations," including those under Section 19 of the Election Offences Act.

However, yesterday, Sanusi was reported to have claimed that he did not intend to display his ballot paper while casting his vote at the Bandar Baru Beris Jaya National School Polling Centre last Saturday.

He said the incident was spontaneous as he accommodated the media personnel's request to turn around during the voting process.
