New Kelantan MB outlines move to solve water issues, infrastructure

KOTA BHARU - Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud has given assurance to address the pressing water issues in the state.

The effort will be carried out in stages, he said.

"Everyone knows that we are facing a water problem. This is not only prevalent in Kelantan but in other states too," he told the media after the first Kelantan exco meeting after Aug 12 state polls, here, today.

In another development, Nassuruddin said, his party will also meet the welfare and needs of the people.

He further gave assurance to prioritise to strengthen the state's infrastructure, involving ports, international airports, highway networks and the East Coast Rail Link Project (ECRL).

"We will plan to increase the yield of natural resources, especially minerals.

"We will also make utilise the expertise of the youths in the state," he said.

He further outlined his party's move to improve Kelantan's strategic relationship with foreign nations in education and economy.
