5.8-magnitude quake hits 115 km earthquake of Yamada, Japan: USGS

NEW YORK - An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 jolted 115 km E of Yamada, Japan, at 22:48:26 GMT on Thursday, the US Geological Survey said, reported Xinhua.

The epicentre with a depth of 35.0 km, was initially determined to be at 39.57 degrees north latitude and 143.28 degrees east longitude. - BERNAMA-XINHUA
