He said during the programme themed 'Pemuda Merdeka, Pemimpin Abrar', there will be three chapters to be recited, understood and practised by the community especially the youths.

"The youths of today are the leaders of tomorrow. Let us take a lesson from the story of Prophet Ibrahim who in his teen had developed a highly noble character, spoken politely and remained his manners even when talking to his father who was an idol worshipper.

"Let us follow the example of the young men of Ashabul Kahfi who defended their faith by fighting against a tyrannical king, so they were saved and raised in rank by Allah SWT.

"Let us also take a lesson from the heinous morality of the young men who killed the camels in the story of Prophet Saleh which resulted in tremendous thunders and earthquakes that destroyed the settlement of al-Hijr of the Thamud people," he added.

The Malaysia #QuranHour took place in conjunction with the 66th National Day celebration bringing the mission of Surah Al-Fatihah, Surah Al-Insan and Surah Al-Asr.

The premier execution of Malaysia #QuranHour will be at the Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque in Putrajaya from noon to 1pm on Aug 30 and it will also be held in several key locations in the country.
