SHAH ALAM - Five of the Malaysian Animation Association's (Animas) renowned artists created 'Giant Doodle' in collaboration with Program Doodle Something Nice X Rasuah Busters to convey a message encouraging the public to break the country's corruption chain.

Animas President Amir Hamzah Hashim or better known as Ibnukaduk Amier said the five 'doodle artists' were Shazni Hanis Zarzaie famously known as Shazni Nerdless, Roseman @ Md Rosman, Muhammad Firdaus Husain (Tuyuk), Abdul Aziz Sumairi (Cip Comicore) and Ahmad Hafizuddin Mohd Salleh (Apix Alexandria).

"In this programme, we use doodles to convey the message to the public while also reminding ourselves of the corruption chain that needs to be broken, similar to how we broke the Covid-19 chain."

"We bring the message of 'Rasuah Busters' to the public in the form of visual art because corruption affects any field," he stated when he was found in the programme held at Kompleks Kumpulan Karangkraf here on Saturday.

In that regard, Amir Hamzah also invited all art activists including songwriters, scriptwriters and film publishers to jointly enhance or begin the fight against corruption in their work.

"Basically, this (the fight against corruption) is a long battle, and we will never see the results in an instant, but we must start the process for future generations." "Skills and expertise are used by animation makers like us to create visual art for the community. With just one image, we could convey millions of meanings and messages without saying anything," he added.

According to him, who was also involved in the production of the Usop Sontorian and Keluang Man animated series, local artists have long included anti-corruption and integrity messages in their animated series.

"In a casual and spontaneous way, we have conveyed this message. Since 1997, we have introduced this element of anti-corruption in the main characters of animation.

"The original character of Keluang Man itself is against corruption and in the first episode of the animation, we told (viewers) that corruption is detrimental to the country's success," he said.
