Large crowd starts to gather for Malaysia #QuranHour

PUTRAJAYA - People are beginning to gather at the Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque, the main venue for the Malaysia #QuranHour event which will take place from 12pm to 1pm today.

The program, organised by the Warisan Ummah Ikhlas Foundation would host the 9th Malaysia #QuranHour, with the theme "Noble Ethics of Malaysia: Liberated Youth, Righteous Leaders," in conjunction with the celebration of the 66th National Day.

The event focuses on reciting Surah Al-Fatihah, Surah Al-Insan, and Surah Al-Asr from the Quran.

The initiative began with the #MalaysiaNgaji campaign and has been held nationwide since 2015.

This year, Surah Al-Fatihah (The Opening), Surah Al-Insan (Man), and Surah Al-Asr (Time) have been chosen to highlight the theme of "Liberated Youth, Righteous Leaders," aiming to shape a harmonious and progressive Malaysia Madani, a peaceful and developed nation.

This approach, guided by the Quran and Hadith, aimed to cultivate noble thinking and character, ultimately instilling a genuine sense of independence, particularly among the youth.

Expected attendees include the wife of the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs), Datin Nik Roslini Raja Ismail, Youth and Sports Deputy Minister Adam Adli, Lembah Jaya Assemblyman Syed Ahmad Syed Abdul Rahman (Altimet), Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman and Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim) Director-General Datuk Hakimah Mohd Yusoff.
