Nik Abduh appointed as senator

KOTA BHARU - Former Bachok Member of Parliament (MP) Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz or Nik Abduh, was appointed as an MP to represent the state of Kelantan.

The proposal for his appointment was submitted by Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud and it was supported by his deputy Datuk Dr Mohamed Fadzli Hassan.

The Kelantan state assembly Speaker Datuk Mohd Amar Abdullah then brought the proposal to obtain votes from the assemblymen.

Kelantan assemblymen by majority, had accepted the proposal.

Abduh's election was to replace Mohamad Affandi Mohamad, whose membership had expired last July 7.
