Mother willing to pawn gold bracelet to buy laptop for child

SHAH ALAM - A viral TikTok video showing the sacrifice of a mother who was willing to pawn a golden bracelet to buy a laptop for her child's education recently gained traction, raking in 2.8 million views on the platform.

Even more saddening was when the woman burst into tears as she said that the jewellery was a gift from her husband for their wedding anniversary.

A video shared by Nor Asiah today showed the woman asking the price of a laptop to a dealer at a store.

In the one-minute, 12-second video, the woman said that she was willing to sacrifice so her child could have a laptop for university.

However, the trader told the woman not to pawn her bracelet but instead to make payment in installments.

The video had its audience also shedding tears, witnessing the incomparable sacrifice of a mother due to a financial obstacle.

One TikTok user, nenek.ros, shared her emotion, moved by the woman's love.

"Subhanallah this is really sad. May this woman be bestowed with overflowing grace. Amen," she commented today.

"Allahuakbar. May your child succeed in this world and the hereafter.

"I remember the old days when my parents used to pawn things to send us to school," she recalled.
