PH candidate Nazri arrives at Dewan Jubli Intan Sultan Ibrahim

SHAH ALAM - Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate for Simpang Jeram by-election Nazri Abdul Rahman has arrived at the Dewan Jubli Intan Sultan Ibrahim, Muar.

The Bakri Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) division deputy chief has unofficially won the contested state seat after giving a tough fight to Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidate Dr Mohd Mazri Yahya.

Unofficial result shows Nazri winning the Simpang Jeram state seat with 13,844 votes while Dr Mohd Mazri received 10,330 votes. Independent candidate S. Jeganathan garnered 311 votes.

Nazri won the seat with a majority of 3,514 votes.
