SHAH ALAM - Felda voters in Pelangai are smart and different than in other states, and they have their own uniqueness, said Pelangai State Assembly BN candidate Datuk Amizar Abu Adam.

"The people are smart in their choices. In Pahang, the Felda was not the same as in other states. The late Tun Abdul Razak inspired and created Felda.

"We must look at it together: which state opened Felda for other states? For example, in Pahang, we opened it for those in Melaka, Kelantan, and Kedah.

"However, in other states, like Kedah, they did not allow Pahang individuals to enter (Felda).

"This is the uniqueness of Pahang; our Sultan and leaders previously gave privileges to all Malaysians to settle in Pahang,” he said in an interview with Sinar recently.

He said this in response to claims that three Felda areas—Chemomoi, Kemasul, and Kemahal—were no longer a stronghold for BN and the possibility of settlers moving towards supporting Perikatan Nasional (PN).

He said currently there some 49.7 per cent nearly 50 per cent of Pelangai Felda voters supporting BN, and that claims of BN losing support were a method to brainwash Felda settlers with their narrative.

Amizar said both the state government and the people of Felda needed each other to ensure matters could be resolved for youth and settlers.

He added that the issue was what he wanted to finish, but if Pelangai fell to the opposition, it would mean that all efforts towards the youth and settlers would be stunted.
