SHAH ALAM - The Israeli's propaganda especially to the Western countries seeks to convince people that they are fighting against Palestinian fighters, Hamas.

However, this was not true at all.

Palestinian Ambassador to Malaysia Walid Abu Ali said it was merely a propaganda effort by Israel to gain sympathy.

"Unfortunately, every Palestinian in Gaza is a target of Israel.

"No one in Gaza is immune or safe from their attacks," he said during an interview with Sinar.

He said despite the ongoing conflict, all the Palestinians in Gaza stood united, even in the face of threats and risks.

The prolonged conflict, he said has claimed the lives of 937 innocent children in Gaza.

"How do you perceive Israel's actions in this regard? are these 870 women and 937 innocent children members of Hamas?.

"When Israel claims that they are fighting against Hamas, are these children considered Hamas fighters?.

"This is evidence to the international community that all Palestinians are targets and victims of Israel's actions," he said.

Walid added that he hoped that the international community will urge Israel to stop the violence against Palestinians in Gaza and also speak out against those who supported Israel's action.

He said the Palestinians have suffered for 75 years and the Western powers have turned a blind eye.

"To what extent have Islamic countries been able to help Palestine?

"Most Islamic countries have their own internal problems and challenges which might prevent them from fully focusing on the Palestinian struggle.

"Israel's attack on Oct 7 is still ongoing, but it is hoped that the situation would change when the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) convenes tomorrow (Wednesday).

"It took OIC nearly two weeks to hold a meeting with its members and discuss what could be done. This is a slow-moving effort," he said.
