18 pupils injured after school bus and truck collide in Japan

TOKYO - A bus carrying elementary school students and a truck collided in Nara Prefecture, western Japan, on Wednesday, causing at least 18 children sustaining minor injuries, according to local authorities, reported Xinhua.

The bus carrying 34 fourth graders on a field trip and the truck had a minor collision at a highway intersection in Kashihara city at 8.55 am local time, police said.

According to the Fire Department, 18 of them complained of physical pain and illness, and their injuries were believed to be minor and not life-threatening. Two teachers and the bus driver were also on the bus, but none of them were injured.
