KUALA LUMPUR - Malaysia should boldly advocate for Israel, the United States, and their allies to be brought before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for their longstanding oppression of the Palestinian people.

Marang MP Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang said that the government must firmly and endlessly fight for the fate of Palestinians so that the Zionist regime and those complicit are punished as they undeniably should have been.

"I ask the Malaysian government to come forward, be firm, and act bravely, even though we are small. Be bold for the truth.

"Insist that those involved in Israeli and its allies' terrorism be brought to the ICJ. This is very important and must be done seriously," he said while debating the Supply Bill 2024 in the Dewan Rakyat today.

Hadi also demanded that the government firmly defend Sharia law so that it is not challenged by any irresponsible party.

In that respect, he cautioned that if the government failed to take action, Perikatan Nasional (PN) would step in.

"I am warning the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government as this (act of challenging the Sharia law) involves the Muslims, Allah, and the royal institution.

"If PH won't act, we (PN) will. How will we go about taking action? Wait and see. In a reasonable manner, to the court or wherever we go, until we have successfully honoured the Sharia.

"This doesn't mean that we are denying the rights of non-Muslims because the freedom of other religions is guaranteed in the Constitution, and it had been agreed upon by all parties involved in independence back then," he explained.
