"MYAirline would like to reiterate that we have not laid off or placed any staff on leave without pay since Oct 12 until now.

It was reported that the Malaysian Trades Union Congress (MTUC) claimed that MYAirline's sudden notice of temporary suspension of operations was unprofessional.

Its secretary-general, Kamarul Baharin Mansor, said that this situation has left over 900 workers disoriented after being instructed to work from home.

MYAirline also submitted an official show cause letter to the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) and the Malaysian Aviation Commission (Mavcom) within the stipulated date.

MYAirline added that it has received 15 proposals from potential investors, and two of them were currently in the advanced negotiation stage.

"The team is working around the clock to finalise a recapitalisation package that will restore our operations.

"This will also facilitate the reimbursement of money to affected passengers and the payment of salaries and statutory fees," the statement said.
