Zayn Rayyan case: IGP seeks patience, says hunt for clues ongoing

KUALA LUMPUR - Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Razarudin Husain has appealed to the community for patience as authorities investigate the tragic murder of a six-year-old autistic child, Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matin.

"The investigation is ongoing, and we're leaving no stone unturned in collecting evidence and chasing leads to nab the perpetrator.

"Providing us the space to work uninterrupted is crucial in bringing justice to Zayn Rayyan," he told Sinar when contacted today.

This comes as police activity continues around Block R of Idaman Apartment in Damansara Damai.

On the 13th day of the investigation, patrol cars were frequently seen patrolling the area.

Notably, an unoccupied apartment within the block became the focal point for the police forensic team on Sunday as they diligently searched for potential clues tied to the case.

Previously, Selangor Police Chief Datuk Hussien Omar Khan confirmed that no significant leads have surfaced to identify the individual responsible for Zayn Rayyan's death.

He reiterated that the search for evidence around the area remains ongoing and stressed that no one has been officially linked to the child's murder.

Zayn Rayyan was tragically found dead in a creek near his apartment complex on Dec 6 around 10pm.
