SHAH ALAM - The Mara Junior Science College (MRSM)'s rigorous academic standards have made it a desirable destination for many parents, according to former teacher Nur Aziera Mohd Ramli.

She commended the institution's curriculum, which prepares students well for university-level studies.

"I see the current education standards are very high, as if preparing them (students) for pre-university.

"This should also be implemented in other schools so that MRSM does not become a sought-after exclusive place.

"In my opinion, education in this country should not be jeopardised.

"Education is for everyone, but if their children succeed in entering MRSM, it is a bonus," she said in the Sinar Wacana Series 426 titled 'MRSM for B40 Only?' recently.

The programme, hosted by Ismail Adnan, also featured two other panelists, namely the Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara) Chairman Datuk Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki and the MRSM Alumni Association (Ansara) president Mohd Fadzil Yusof.

Aziera also stressed the commitment and dedication of B40 students admitted to MRSM.

"These students strive to excel alongside others from diverse backgrounds, forming valuable networks and learning from peers," she said.
