SHAH ALAM - In an unexpected twist, a lion dance performance at a shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur took a distressing turn when the dancers faced a series of falls.

The incident drew the attention of onlookers and sparked concerns about safety during cultural performances.

The episode transpired as the lion dancers, adorned in striking red and yellow lion costumes, skillfully exhibited their traditional artistry, leaving the spectators mesmerised.

Unfortunately, one by one, dancers from both groups tumbled from the standing pillars, leaving spectators in shock.

While the red lion dancers managed to regroup and continue their performance, the yellow lion dancers sustained injuries from the fall, preventing them from getting back on their feet.

Nevertheless, the commendable quick-thinking teammates swiftly rushed to provide first aid to the injured performers, demonstrating their preparedness and care for their fellow dancers.

A video shared by an X user, bearing the username @anthraxxx781 captured the moment, with the account owner commenting: "Seems to be injured. After this incident, everyone showed concern for them. It is really not easy for a lion dancer, it is dangerous."

Another video of the incident was posted on TikTok, shared by an account called @Tianjie which garnered public attention for its heartwarming message and support commented by other users.
