"After the Covid-19 pandemic, many people, especially women, were affected and had a mentality to no longer take care of their appearance because before this they only worked from home and even got used to the situation.

"This causes us to no longer see fashion as something serious and that needs to be taken care of. Many people face the problem of raising their confidence and worry that people around them will judge the way they style their clothes.

"Therefore, our invited panel today taught the participants through their experience and skills on how to select and combine the colours of clothes according to their size and skin tone to increase their confidence," she said in the programme on Tuesday.

The second series of She Leads hosted by Ushar Daniele featured fashion stylist Andrea Wong and makeup artist Nabilah Nordin as a panel with about 50 participants at the Karangkraf Group Complex Auditorium here.

Andrea said the selection of accessories such as necklaces, belts and the right type of clothing could increase women's confidence to face the public, especially when going to work.

"We are here to help and give as much knowledge as possible to the participants by advising them what can and cannot be combined in fashion so that their appearance looks better.

"Actually, there is a lot of freedom and choice in fashion that is suitable for styling and beautiful when combined, especially when it comes to choosing the colour of clothes, but women often feel worried about the views of the surrounding society.

"I hope that after this programme, the participants will be able to apply the knowledge given and come out more confident later," she said.

Meanwhile, Nabilah said apart from the skill of styling clothes, choosing the right make-up according to skin tone also plays a role in giving a better and attractive appearance.

She said, participants were taught to make simple make-up using basic items to make it easier for them to understand easily and quickly master the skill.

"Makeup plays a role in giving society the first view of ourselves. We don't necessarily need to be excessive in make-up to increase confidence.

"For example, using a variety of lipstick colours that don't make the skin look dull is also taught to the participants because not everything that suits other people is also suitable for us," said Nabilah.
