LONDON - Florentino Perez has been re-elected the president of Real Madrid until 2029, reported German news agency (dpa).
The 77-year-old businessman stood unopposed after triggering the election process earlier this month.
A statement from the reigning Spanish and European champions read: "With only one candidacy proclaimed by this electoral board and under article 40, section E, point 2 of the current bylaws of the club, Florentino Perez is proclaimed president of Real Madrid."
Perez will now embark on his fifth consecutive term at the helm of the LaLiga giants and seventh overall.
He first served as president from 2000 to 2006 and began his ongoing second spell in 2009.
Real also announced the new board of directors elected at the Bernabeu. - BERNAMA-dpa
