HULU SELANGOR – A video has gone viral on social media showing a man allegedly sexually harassing a girl who was praying at Jamek Sungai Masin Mosque in Batang Kali on Friday.
A closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from the mosque showed that the incident occurred at 6.41am.
The footage showed the suspect entering the women's prayer area before approaching the girl, who was praying at the back of the female congregation.
The suspect was then seen carrying the girl out of the prayer area and hastily trying to flee with the victim while the congregation was performing the Subuh (dawn) prayer.
The suspect was wearing a white kopiah, a yellow shirt with green stripes and dark-coloured pants.
A user on the social media platform X claimed in a post to be the victim's second cousin.
The post further revealed that the suspect has been arrested and is a holder of a Persons with Disabilities (PWD) card.
Meanwhile, Sinar is seeking confirmation and further details from the police regarding the incident.
Authorities have stated that an official press statement will be issued soon.
