MELAKA - An obese woman, weighing 160 kilogrammes, from Taman Rambai Jaya here required assistance from the Fire and Rescue Department to be transported to the hospital due to breathing difficulties.
Melaka Fire and Rescue Departmebt Operations Commander Senior Fire Officer II Noor Hafizah Mohammed said they received an emergency call at 2.45 pm, and a team from the Tangga Batu Fire and Rescue Station was dispatched to the location.
"Upon arrival, we found a 29-year-old obese female patient who was experiencing breathing difficulties. A team of firefighters lifted her into a transport lorry.
"The patient, accompanied by a medical officer, was transported to Hospital Melaka for treatment. The entire lifting operation took approximately 30 minutes," he said. - BERNAMA
