KUALA LUMPUR - Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp) has launched the Premier Employers Network (PEN), an exclusive initiative catering to employers within the network with personalised training management solutions and exclusive benefits.
Based on the principles of priority, exclusivity, and the enhancement of strategic employer collaborations, the initiative aligns with the Human Resources Ministry's vision of elevating workforce development and driving greater industry engagement.
The initiative allows premier employers to gain exclusive access to a dedicated HRD Corp team of learning and development experts with personalised solutions, seamless processes, and priority service.
Human Resources Ministry Secretary-General, Datuk Azman Mohd Yusof said that PEN was designed to provide priority access, streamlined processes, and personalised support to top employers.
"PEN is more than just exclusive benefits; it represents a new benchmark for employer engagement in workforce development. To fully realise its potential, we must take a strategic approach, focusing on three key priorities: industry-led workforce development, strengthening public-private collaboration, and future-proofing our workforce," he said in his speech.
Meanwhile, HRD Corp chief executive officer, Datuk Wira Shahul Dawood, reported that in 2024 alone, remarkable milestones were reached, with a total of 99,966 registered employers, and almost 8 per cent classified as large employers.
"These achievements would not have been possible without the dedication and support of these employers. Their steadfast commitment to workforce development is instrumental in driving Malaysia’s economic progress," he added.
HRD Corp has demonstrated unwavering commitment to streamlining human capital development, offering tailored strategies and efficient processes to empower businesses while continuously enhancing services to meet the evolving needs of HRD Corp's premier employer partners.
There are six core benefits under PEN for premier employers, which will be effective from June 1:
1. Flexible Grant Policy, which provides a simplified grant application process and a customised Allowable Cost Matrix (ACM) for members within the network.
2. Industry Talent Fund, which enables levy utilisation for industry development, allowing parent firms to support subsidiaries and related industries.
