SHAH ALAM - Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Keluarga Berhad has responded to the recent gas pipeline explosion in Putra Heights by contributing RM100,000 in aid to assist those impacted.
This initiative is in line with the government's appeal for urgent assistance to support affected communities.
Acknowledging the severity of the incident, the group has swiftly mobilised efforts to deliver both financial assistance and vital resources to the victims.
Takaful Malaysia chief executive officer Nor Azman Zainal said the group is committed to alleviating the victim's burden and offers immediate help.
"We stand in solidarity with the victims of this unfortunate incident, and our hearts go out to those affected and facing hardship in its aftermath.
"As a responsible corporate entity, we are dedicated to easing the burdens of the affected victims and helping them navigate this challenging time. Our immediate donation is intended to provide urgent relief, ensuring that essential aid reaches those in need," he said in a statement.
In addition to the financial donation, Takaful Malaysia is also streamlining the claims process for affected certificate holders.
He said the group has waived the requirement for a police report for eligible claims to ensure faster assistance.
"Furthermore, we are fully committed to supporting our customers by expediting claims processing without requiring a police report for eligible customers, ensuring they receive the required assistance without unnecessary delays.
"We understand our customers’ challenges and want to assure them that our responsibility as a takaful provider is to help in every possible way. This commitment to our mission ensures that we are always there for our customers when they need us the most,” he added.
