ATHENS – A woman in Greece has filed for divorce after relying on artificial intelligence (AI) to uncover what she believed was her husband’s infidelity, triggering a bizarre intersection of technology and personal relationships.

According to the Greek City Times, the woman turned to ChatGPT to analyse images and forecast the future of her 12-year marriage.

The chatbot allegedly concluded that her husband was romantically involved with a younger woman, identified only as "E".

In a local television interview, the husband laughed off the accusations, describing them as baseless and attributing the situation to his wife’s growing obsession with mystical beliefs and internet trends.

"She’s always been into things like astrology, but this AI obsession is new and, apparently, more serious,” he said.

His lawyer dismissed the claims as entirely speculative, arguing that AI-generated content cannot be treated as valid evidence in legal proceedings.

Despite this, the wife remains firm in her decision to end the marriage based on the AI’s predictions.
