PUTRAJAYA – Economy Minister Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli has hinted that he already has plans lined up once his leave ends on June 17.
However, the Pandan MP declined to elaborate on his next steps, saying he would share more details when the time was right.
"I’ve already planned what to focus on next, but let’s all take it easy for now and celebrate Hari Raya Haji.
"I’ll share everything later," he said in a post on X, today.
On Wednesday, Rafizi announced that he had tendered his resignation from the Cabinet to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, effective June 17, 2025.
He will utilise the remainder of his annual leave until June 16.
Following Rafizi’s resignation announcement, Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Minister Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad also tendered his resignation, effective July 4.
It was reported that Anwar has received both the leave applications and resignation letters from Rafizi and Nik Nazmi.
The Prime Minister’s Office said Anwar approved their leave requests after reviewing the matter.
Rafizi said during his time off, he was taking the opportunity to reply to messages and engage in conversations on social media.
"I started my leave on Wednesday. My current mission is to reply to thousands of messages and join discussions on X," he said.
He stressed that believing in the potential of Malaysians was key to building the nation.
The true potential of the country, he said lies in ordinary people.
"We need to harness this potential," he added.
Meanwhile, in the comments section, Rafizi was asked to create a special account for his pet cats, but he said it would be nearly impossible as it was hard to take pictures and videos of them.
Some social media users also suggested that Rafizi shared updates on his weight loss journey.
Rafizi responded by saying that his weight loss journey was a difficult one.
