SHAH ALAM – Riuh Rewang SinarPlus x Mahsuri is expected to be a major feature under SinarPlus management during the upcoming Karnival Siang Malam Karangkraf this July.
Sinar Harian’s Lifestyle & Entertainment Executive Editor and project manager Meen Tahrin said the programme would feature a group cooking competition to find the best local chefs.
The event will not only foster teamwork but also help preserve the unique character of local cuisine.
“That’s not all...SinarPlus will also offer free health screenings for all visitors as part of promoting a healthy lifestyle and early awareness of health care.
“What’s exciting about this year’s Karnival Siang Malam Karangkraf is that it will run for three days, from 9am to midnight much longer than last year’s event, which only lasted until 7pm," he said when contacted on Sunday.
With the extended hours, visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities, including a haunted house, giant maze, Pasar Saloma, book sales and go-kart racing.
“In the evening, there will be competitions and Jiwa Muda busking performances, a classic car showcase, fire shows and the SinarRun night run,” he said.
He stated that with meaningful programmes such as health checks and family-friendly activities, the event reflects their commitment as a media organisation that cares about community wellbeing.
“We hope this carnival will serve as a platform to raise awareness about the importance of a healthy lifestyle, encourage active community participation and strengthen SinarPlus’ connection with the public through a friendly, fun and informative approach.

Karnival Siang Malam Karangkraf, scheduled for July 25 to 27 at Dataran Karangkraf, Section 15, Shah Alam, will also offer visitors the chance to participate in a lucky draw.
Among the exclusive prizes up for grabs are a WMoto ES250 motorcycle, a Benelli Panarea, theme park tickets for Berjaya Times Square Kuala Lumpur and electrical appliances from Russell Taylors, among others.
