SHAH ALAM – Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang has undergone a medical procedure earlier this afternoon and is in stable condition.
The update was shared by Bachok MP Mohd Syahir Che Sulaiman, via a Facebook post on Tuesday.
Syahir said no visits were allowed at the time being upon advice of medical specialists.
"Alhamdulillah. According to Ustaz Khalil (Dr Muhammad Khalil Abdul Hadi), the procedure was successful.
"Thank you to everyone who has offered prayers. Based on the doctor’s advice, no visitors are allowed for the time being.
"Please continue to pray for the recovery of our beloved Ayah Chik (Hadi)," he said.
Earlier, Sinar Harian reported that the Marang MP underwent treatment, as shared by his son, Khalil.
Khalil, who is also Batu Buruk assemblyman had called on the public, particularly Pas supporters, to pray for his father’s smooth treatment and recovery.
Former Federal Territories Mufti Datuk Seri Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri also urged Muslims in the country to pray for the successful outcome of the procedure.
However, the location and nature of the treatment were not disclosed.
For the record, Hadi had previously received follow-up treatment at the National Heart Institute, with the last reported medical procedure taking place on Jan 5, last year.
