SHAH ALAM – Agrobank has officially opened submissions for the Agro Biz Awards 2025, an initiative designed to spotlight the entrepreneurial spirit and game-changing innovations shaping Malaysia’s agriculture and agro-food landscape.
With a total prize pool of RM70,000, the awards aim to recognise individuals and businesses that are not only thriving commercially but also contributing meaningfully to the national food security agenda.
Open for submissions from June 18 to July 31, the Agro Biz Awards serve as a key platform to honour excellence, innovation, and impact across the food supply chain - particularly among smallholders, women entrepreneurs, youth leaders, and persons with disabilities (PwD).
“This award is a tribute to the trailblazers and changemakers in our agro-community who demonstrate leadership, creativity, and tangible impact,” Agrobank said in a statement.
This year’s awards feature five key categories, each targeting a different pillar of Malaysia’s agropreneurial ecosystem:
Best Agrobank SME Award – For small and medium enterprises that exemplify operational excellence.
Agrobank Women Entrepreneur Award – Honouring visionary women who inspire and elevate others in the agro-food supply chain.
Agrobank Young Entrepreneur Award – For young leaders (aged 18 to 40) championing agriculture with passion and purpose.
Agrobank Entrepreneur Innovation Award – Recognising innovation that drives productivity and transformation in the sector.
Agrobank Empowerment Award for Entrepreneurs with Disabilities (PwD) – Celebrating resilience and success stories among PwD agropreneurs.
