SHAH ALAM - Lee Zii Jia has caught fans’ attention once again after posting a cryptic sketch on his social media on Wednesday.
The post came just days after the 27-year-old national men's badminton player confirmed his withdrawal from the 2025 Japan Open, scheduled to take place in Tokyo from July 15 to 20.
The timing of the upload sparked speculation, with many questioning whether it carried a deeper message.
This was not the first time Lee shared a cryptic post, leaving fans curious about what he was really trying to say.
On July 4, the former All England champion uploaded a series of similar sketches, sparking speculation within the local badminton community about what he might be trying to express.
Adding to the curiosity was the fact that Lee recently earned a bronze medal in the men’s singles event at the Paris 2024 Olympics, a proud moment that has naturally kept him in the public eye.
In light of growing concerns, the National Sports Council has stepped in to reassure fans.
They confirmed that Lee was doing well after reaching out to his team, Team LZJ, for clarification regarding his recent posts and his withdrawal from upcoming tournaments.
