SHAH ALAM - As tributes pour in for Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s 100th birthday, Muar Member of Parliament (MP) Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman took a lighter approach, revealing a side of the former prime minister that melted hearts.
In a playful and affectionate social media post, Syed Saddiq decided to reveal Dr Mahathir's secret.
“In honour of Tun @chedetofficial’s 100th birthday, I think it is finally time I reveal Tun M’s biggest secret. The secret to how Tun stays young, healthy and calm even when battling it out in Parliament. It is videos of cats.
“Not just once. Many times. He even laughed to himself. While the whole country was heated, Tun calmly watched videos of kittens unafraid of water and hopping about,” he said, recalling a candid moment from a few years ago.
The Muar MP also shared a photo of Dr Mahathir watching a cat video during his time as Langkawi MP.
“Happy Birthday! Always stay young and savage. I love you,” he wrote.
