Sunway Pyramid’s Orange Concourse was transformed into a cat lover’s dream earlier this month, as Royal Canin Malaysia rolled out its first-ever public event, ‘Purrever Healthy.’
For four days, from Aug 7 to Aug 10, the space brimmed with feline-themed installations, educational zones and heartwarming moments, all dedicated to one mission: celebrating #LifeLongHealth for pets.
For Malaysian pet parents, ‘Purrever Healthy’ felt like a walk into a playful yet purposeful world where every whisker twitch, paw print and curious tail flick was a gentle reminder of what it truly means to care for our furry companions from the very start of their lives.
Royal Canin Malaysia’s Market Head, Teh Meng Li, said that as a brand deeply committed to building a healthier future for pets, Royal Canin is proud to introduce this meaningful initiative to pet owners in Malaysia.
“We designed the ‘Purrever Healthy’ event to spark conversations about the importance of preventive pet care, emphasise on the unique needs of cat breed specifics and enhance awareness on responsible pet ownership.
“By inviting the public to take part in this educational experience, we hope to deepen their understanding of how even the smallest early decisions, like choosing the right nutritional diet or creating a safe environment, can impact a pet’s entire life,” she said.
From the moment visitors signed in and received their Mission Stamp Cards, the event unfolded like a playful treasure hunt. The card served as both a guide and a keepsake. Once all four themed stations were completed, it formed a collectible artwork along with a door gift.
The Four Purr-fect Stops
Pick Your Breed
Guests wandered along a stunning wall featuring 26 cat breeds, placing stickers on their favourites. It was not just about choosing the cutest, it encouraged reflection on lifestyle compatibility, a crucial part of responsible pet ownership.
Love Letter to Your Cat
At this charming corner, attendees penned heartfelt notes to their feline companions on cat-shaped paper before hanging them on a decorative board, a sweet display of the bond between humans and pets.
Cat Discovery Centre
The beating heart of the event, this walkthrough educated visitors about kitten-proofing homes, understanding feline behaviour and the role of nutrition in immunity.
Highlights included the quirky “Meowseum” and a life-sized living room, while over 40 cats from more than 10 breeds—ranging from the refined British Long Hair to the playful Mainecoon—were showcased by partner breeders. Some even roamed freely, offering gentle moments of interaction.
Photo Check-In Station
To cap off the experience, attendees posed against Royal Canin-themed backdrops, sharing their snapshots online and tagging @royalcaninmalaysia as proof of their completed mission.
The weekend also featured free vet consultations twice daily, where registered veterinarians offered insights on pet health and responsible ownership. To give back, Royal Canin pledged an extra 10 per cent of all product sales to partnering animal shelters.
True to its promise of blending education with accessibility, Royal Canin also launched on TikTok Shop on Aug 8, allowing pet parents to shop their favourites with exclusive deals, livestreams, and doorstep delivery.
More than just a showcase of adorable cats, ‘Purrever Healthy’ served as an immersive reminder that a pet’s health journey starts the day they enter our lives; and that knowledge, care and nutrition are the foundations for a lifetime of purrs.
