SHAH ALAM - Shah Alam Specialist Hospital (Salam) and PhysioGo have officially entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at PhysioGo’s Bangi (Ostia) branch, marking a new chapter in advancing healthcare and rehabilitation services in Malaysia.
The agreement sets the foundation for both organisations to collaborate on a wide range of initiatives, including sharing clinical expertise, rolling out community health programmes and broadening access to high-quality physiotherapy and medical care within an integrated ecosystem.
Speaking at the event, Salam Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Akim Affandi Ahmad said the collaboration will expand patient access to integrated care while strengthening Salam’s presence and thanked his team for their support.
"This collaboration will open more opportunities for patients, from getting a second opinion and consultations with our orthopedic specialists, to potential surgical care and physiotherapy services under one ecosystem. God willing, this will also strengthen Salam’s brand presence and enable us to reach more patients in need.
"I would like to extend my deepest appreciation to all heads of department who attended the signing ceremony and a special thank you to my marketing team for your tireless effort in making this possible," he said in a statement.
Meanwhile, PhysioGo Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Mohamad Arif Mohd Yusuf emphasised the importance of partnerships in driving growth.
"As we all know, growth cannot be achieved alone. For us at PhysioGo, partnership is the key. That is why this collaboration with Salam is so meaningful. With your support, we can reach more patients and, together, provide them with better care and a better overall experience," he said.
He further said the partnership aims to deliver greater impact for the community and improved outcomes for patients. He added that it also marks the start of new opportunities to enhance services and grow both businesses.
"We believe that by working together, PhysioGo and Salam can create an even greater impact for the community. Through this MoU, our objectives are very clear, to create added value for patients so they can experience better outcomes from both sides.
"We also see this as the beginning of new opportunities, not only to serve patients better but also to grow our businesses together," he said.
