SHAH ALAM – Bersatu deputy president Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin said the future of the country rests on the shoulders of young leaders.
He pointed to individuals like Bersatu Youth chief Muhammad Hilman Idham as proof that the younger generation was ready to continue the party’s struggle.
When asked whether Perikatan Nasional had identified a candidate for the next Sabah chief minister if it wins the upcoming state election, Hamzah stressed that the coalition has capable leaders in place.
“Of course, we do. You can see that the future of our nation depends on the youth.
“Especially when you see figures like Hilman today and all the other leaders in front of us, it shows that they, together with the Sabah leadership, are capable of taking over,” he said during a press conference at the party's eighth annual general assembly held at Ideal Convention Centre, here, today.
Hamzah added that the younger generation was not only ready to lead, but also able to carry forward the party’s mission to serve the people.
