SHAH ALAM - The Alma ship carrying Malaysian volunteers on the Global Sumud Flotilla mission has faced tense moments after being surrounded by 15 drones, with explosions spotted nearby, but the group remains determined to continue their journey.
One of the volunteers, Ahmad Musa Al-Nuwayri Kamaruzaman, who is also the Founder of Cinta Salam Malaysia (CSM), shared the chilling experience in a Facebook post on Wednesday morning.
“Latest! They came again. This time with 15 drones around Alma.
“Several explosions could also be seen from our ship. It looks like it was only meant to scare the convoy. We will not turn back,” he said.
Despite the intimidating situation, Musa reassured that no one on board had been harmed. He also called upon Malaysians to keep the team in their prayers.
“No injuries so far. Keep praying!” he said.
The humanitarian mission, which set sail from the Port of Barcelona, Spain, on Aug 31, includes 15 Malaysians among the participants.
The Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) unites more than 50 boats from 44 countries, carrying vital food and medical aid for the people of Gaza.
