SHAH ALAM – The unwavering spirit of the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) participants continues to inspire, as they endure various challenges, including being tied up during their humanitarian mission to Gaza.

According to a sharing by Iylia Balqis Suhaimi, despite his small physique, the determination and courage of Muhammad Abdullah, better known as Ustaz Mad Kechik, are immense in fulfilling humanitarian duties.

"I would say, even though he is small in size, his spirit is big. Just look, he was willing to join the GSF mission even though he had to be tied up to ensure his safety while on the sailing boat.

"Every day, in the delegation group, we would be reminded to recite Hizb al-Bahr,” she said in a Facebook post on Tuesday.

Several videos shared earlier showed other Malaysian activists that Mad Kechik was tied up at the captain’s request to prevent him from falling into the sea when the waves grew rough while on the boat deck.

The volunteer added that Mad Kechik, representing Iman Care, had previously joined Cinta Salam Malaysia in a Ramadan mission to Syria in 2022.

"Even though there were many obstacles in entering the Syrian border, we had to return to our lodging and try again the next day.

"Not once did he complain; instead, he constantly reminded us to keep reciting selawat so that our affairs would be eased,” she added.

Therefore, Iylia Balqis has requested prayers from everyone so that their voyage to Gaza, carrying humanitarian aid, will be eased by Allah SWT.
