AMK delivers Palestine memorandum to US Embassy after security delay

The submission took place as thousands of participants of the Free Sumud Flotilla Solidarity Rally marched from the Tabung Haji Building after Friday prayers towards the US Embassy to express solidarity with the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) mission.

AMK chief Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim said the embassy had contacted them to arrange the handover at 3pm on Friday.

KUALA LUMPUR – The United States (US) Embassy here has agreed to receive a memorandum concerning the Palestine issue, submitted by the Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) and several non-governmental organisations (NGOs).

AMK chief Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim said the embassy had contacted them to arrange the handover at 3pm on Friday.

“Only two people were allowed in, namely myself and the Chairman of PKR’s International Bureau, Dr Maszlee Malik.

"They also agreed to hear the demands of the people and to accept the memorandum from NGOs, including the Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organisations (MAPIM),” he said during a gathering near the US Embassy at Jalan Tun Razak.
