PETALING JAYA - Thousands of glowing lightsticks filled the Idea Live Arena here recently as popular nasyid group Inteam celebrated their over two-decade-long musical journey at their ‘Kasih Kekasih 25 Tahun’ concert, attended by some 5,000 people.
The nearly three-hour concert unfolded like a family reunion, filled with singalongs, nostalgic stories and cheers that proved nasyid music remains vibrant despite today’s entertainment industry being dominated by modern genres.
Comprising Mohd Syahril Abdul Khalid, Hisyam Ahmad, Abdul Rahim Osman and Hazamin Harun, the group showed that it is still a force to be reckoned with.
The concert opened with the song ‘Nur Kasih’, followed by a string of fan favourites including ‘Siti Khadijah’, ‘Akrab Persahabatan’ and a medley of ‘Sentuhanmu’, ‘Doa Seorang Kekasih’ and ‘Hembusan Kasturi’, reviving memories of the early 2000s.
Grateful for the overwhelming response, Mohd Syahril repeatedly thanked their fans for their unwavering support over the years.
A collaboration with popular singer Khai Bahar on ‘Impian Kasih’ and ‘Rabiatul Adawiyah’ added a fresh dimension to the show, reflecting Inteam’s readiness to bridge generations.
One of the most touching moments came during a tribute to former Inteam member the late Suhaimi Saad, with a montage of memories followed by his son Sallman Elkhoyri joining Inteam on stage to perform ‘Kias Cinta’.
Nasyid group Hijjaz also graced the night with a heartfelt a cappella rendition of ‘Sumaiyah’.
Inteam also delivered timeless hits such as ‘Wanita’, ‘Ratu Syahadah’, ‘KeredhaanMu’, ‘Damba Kasih’, ‘Tanpamu’ and ‘Setanggi Syurga’.
The highlight of the night came with their evergreen song ‘Kasih Kekasih’, sung in unison with the audience, before the spotlight turned to a big screen where Inteam announced their upcoming concert on Feb 1, 2026, at Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur. - BERNAMA
