KUALA LUMPUR – A BMW driver escaped unharmed after a tree came crashing down onto the vehicle along Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur, earlier today.
City Fire and Rescue Department senior fire officer I. M. Jayamohan, who led the operation, said his team was alerted to the incident at 1.03pm through the Operations Movement Centre hotline.
“Eight personnel and officers from the Titiwangsa Fire and Rescue Station were deployed to the scene along with a fire engine,” he said.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a fallen tree resting on top of the BMW. Fortunately, the driver managed to escape without any injuries.
“Police and Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) were also at the scene to clear the fallen tree,” Jayamohan said, adding that the operation ended at 1.56pm and the clean-up task was then handed over to DBKL.
