SHAH ALAM – A friendly badminton game turned tragic in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, when 35-year-old Lee Kah Jin collapsed shortly after finishing a match with friends.
Despite immediate resuscitation efforts, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) available at the venue, his life could not be saved.
The incident, reported by Sin Chew Daily, occurred on Oct 21, when Lee started feeling unwell after the match ended.
Moments later, he collapsed, prompting his friends to act quickly in an attempt to revive him.
Unfortunately, all efforts were unsuccessful.
Lee’s sudden death shocked his friends, who described him as an active sportsman with a fit physique.
They added that he had shown no signs of illness, though a recent medical check-up had detected mild hypertension.
His passing has left his family devastated. Reports revealed that Lee and his wife were expecting their third child at the end of this month.
The couple had recently purchased a new home and were excitedly preparing for the arrival of their baby when the tragedy struck.
Funeral arrangements are underway and a wake would be held at Chen Kong Tong Hall, where family and friends are expected to pay their final respects.
