SHAH ALAM – A teenage girl was injured after falling from the first floor of a secondary school here on Thursday, believed to be due to depression following a breakup.
Shah Alam district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said the victim was a Form One student at the school.
He said the girl was taken to Shah Alam Hospital for treatment.
“The victim suffered injuries to her forehead and leg and is now reported to be conscious and in stable condition,” he said in a statement on Friday.
He added that initial investigations showed the incident stemmed from the victim’s emotional distress.
“The victim was believed to have ended her relationship with her boyfriend, who is also a student at the same school.
“The case is being investigated under Section 507C of the Penal Code,” he said.
