Selangor FC (SFC) supporters are expressing their anger after the team fell 3-2 to Persib Bandung in the Asian Champions League II (ACL II), prompting captain Faisal Halim to intervene and calm the tense situation outside the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) Stadium.
The tension began when several supporters entered the pitch after the match, attempting to show their frustration before being stopped by security personnel.
The group later gathered at the main entrance of the stadium to protest and demanded a meeting with the team’s management.
The situation eventually led captain Faisal Halim to approach the supporters outside the stadium to ease the unrest.
In the match, Selangor was eliminated from the ACL II after suffering their fourth consecutive defeat in Group G.
The team under Christophe Gamel remained at the bottom of the standings without any points, following earlier losses to Bangkok United and Lion City Sailors.
