SHAH ALAM - Actor Ben Amir just shared one of the biggest milestones of his life and his girlfriend has officially embraced Islam.
The heartfelt moment was captured as she recited the syahadah, marking a new chapter in both their spiritual and personal journeys.
Ben Amir, whose real name is Muhammad Amir Sabaruddin, 35, revealed the joyful news on social media, sharing the meaningful moment when his girlfriend declared the two Islamic testimonies of faith (syahadah) at the New Muslim Converts Welfare Branch, Dakwah Management Division, Federal Territory Islamic Religious Department (JAWI).
In his post, Ben couldn’t hide his gratitude and took a moment to welcome her into her new faith with a touching message.
“Welcome to Islam. Take your time to get to know it slowly, embrace its beauty and remember that you are never alone.
"May the love and mercy of Allah always protect you. May this journey bring you closer to peace, purpose and your true, meaningful self.”
The message, calm, soulful and full of affection, instantly resonated with fans and fellow celebrities, who flooded the comments with congratulations and prayers.
His girlfriend, Maiya, also shared her journey for the new chapter, where she uploaded several photos in her thread with the caption "Alhamdullilah for this new beginning. Grateful for all the love and presence on my special day."
