MELAKA - The state police are appealing to the public for assistance in locating 15-year-old Nur Qasehku Suhaimi, who has been missing since Nov 3.
According to the Melaka Tengah district police Headquarters, the teenager, who has mental health issues, was last seen in front of a 7-Eleven at Jalan Seri Krubong 2.
The missing person notice described her as 161 centimetres tall, weighing 50 kilogrammes, slim and believed to be wearing a black T-shirt and black trousers, with a shaved head at the time of her disappearance.
Police confirmed that search efforts were still underway and urged anyone with information to come forward.
Her mother, Nurhazlin Mohd Nor, 44, said her daughter left without her mobile phone and went to the convenience store on a motorcycle after complaining of stomach pain and a headache around 4.30pm.
"I took her to the office, then she told me she had a headache and wanted to drink "Air Cap Badak."
"I told her to wait for a while because I needed to finish some work.
"I didn’t expect her to already ride the motorcycle to 7-Eleven and she didn’t even bring any money.
"I asked my other child to go and check and they saw the motorcycle and the key were still there, but Qaseh was nowhere to be found," she said.
Nurhazlin said the 7-Eleven staff knew her daughter but confirmed that the teenager did not enter the shop on the day she went missing.
"They know my daughter because I always bring her there. On the day of the incident, the staff told me Qaseh did not enter the shop.
"We searched the surrounding area but couldn’t find her. I didn’t lodge a police report immediately because we had to wait 24 hours," she said.
She added that this was the second time her daughter went missing.
The first time, she said was last year, but she was found after nine days in Johor Bahru.
"This time, I fear someone may be keeping her. I don’t know what condition she’s in.
"She’s unwell and needs her medication. So far, we haven’t found any leads," she said.
The distressed mother urged the public to help in locating her daughter, emphasising that Qasehku required continuous care due to her medical condition.
