Japan issues tsunami advisory for north, northeast after magnitude-6.7 quake

The earthquake came four days after Monday’s powerful magnitude-7.5 temblor off the eastern coast of Aomori.

TOKYO - The Japanese weather agency on Friday issued a tsunami advisory for northern and northeastern Japan following an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.7 in the Pacific off Aomori Prefecture, Kyodo News Agency reported.
