However, the warm welcome comes as his position as PN chairman remains the subject of intense internal debate.

On Tuesday, Pas Vice-President Datuk Seri Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar met with Muhyiddin.

The coalition has recently grappled with internal turmoil following an administrative crisis in Perlis.

Muhyiddin had previously announced his resignation as PN chairman after the Menteri Besar post in Perlis was transferred from a Pas representative to one from Bersatu.

While some have speculated that Samsuri may be positioned to replace Muhyiddin as PN Chairman, Syahir described the meeting as informal.

He urged the public not to link the discussions to political appointments, neither confirming nor denying a potential change in leadership.

Syahir also expressed his hope that a Perikatan Nasional Supreme Council meeting would be convened shortly, though he did not provide a specific date or agenda.
