SHAH ALAM - A man claimed that he was brutally beaten after being lured to a woman’s house under the pretext of seeing her cat, in a shocking incident in Pattaya, Thailand.
According to Thailand television network Channel 7, the 21-year-old said he suffered serious injuries after allegedly being attacked by the woman’s boyfriend, who choked, punched and repeatedly stomped on him for more than an hour.
He said the incident happened on the night of Dec 24, 2025, after he met the woman while drinking with friends at the Smileland Market in North Pattaya.
The victim claimed the woman had assured him she was single before inviting him to her house in Soi Khao Ta Lo.
However, he became suspicious upon arriving when he noticed men’s shoes inside the house, but was told they belonged to a family member.
Moments later, the woman’s boyfriend returned home and allegedly launched a violent assault on him, claiming the house belonged to a government officer.
The badly injured man was later taken to hospital for treatment before lodging a police report at the Nong Prue police station.
He also claimed the boyfriend had lodged a police report accusing him of trespassing, but he insisted the allegation was false as he had been invited into the house by the woman.
The victim’s family has urged police to speed up investigations to ensure justice is served.
