ALOR GAJAH – A student from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) Pagoh, Johor, experienced a terrifying ordeal after his motorcycle was rammed by a wild boar at Padang Keladi on Sunday.
The 19-year-old victim was reportedly travelling back to campus from his family home in Kampung Pulau, Durian Tunggal, when the collision occurred.
The incident left the student with significant facial injuries, including broken teeth and damaged gums.
The victim’s brother-in-law shared the ordeal in a Facebook post, stating that the student is currently receiving treatment at Melaka Hospital and remains deeply traumatised.
“The incident happened on Sunday night while my brother-in-law was returning to campus. The location was in front of the Padang Keladi Go-Kart area, which is known for frequent accidents because it is dark and lacks street lighting,” he said.
He urged the authorities to take the matter seriously and improve safety measures to prevent similar accidents in the future.
Alor Gajah District Police Chief, Superintendent Ahmad Abu Bakar stated that the victim has yet to lodge a formal police report regarding the incident.
Meanwhile, Melaka Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan) director Petra Sulai confirmed that the department will investigate the matter.
