SHAH ALAM – The eldest son of actress-singer Diana Danielle and actor Farid Kamil is recovering after being hospitalised in Kuala Lumpur due to facial nerve paralysis following a viral fever.

Muhammad, 13, was admitted after experiencing sudden facial paralysis, prompting medical concerns that the condition may be linked to Guillain-Barré syndrome or Bell’s palsy.

Diana explained that doctors suspect the condition was caused by complications from a viral fever, with Guillain-Barré syndrome or Bell’s palsy among the potential diagnoses.

Treatment efforts are now focused on rehabilitating the affected facial nerves.

“Now we are just focusing on getting his facial nerves to ‘switch back on’ again. There are certain sounds he cannot articulate, such as ‘M’, ‘B’, and ‘P’. We have to keep performing these exercises,” she said, adding that regular speech practice is a vital part of his recovery.

The actress described January as a challenging month for the family but expressed gratitude that Muhammad was back home. She encouraged the public to continue praying for his full recovery.

Diana and Farid, who co-parent their two children, first married in November 2012.

They share Muhammad and Nur Aurora, 10. The couple initially divorced in August 2023 but reconciled a month later.

Diana subsequently refiled for divorce in November 2024 and the separation was finalised on March 25, 2025, marking the second time the marriage has ended.
