NILAI - A woman was left shocked after her boyfriend allegedly exited the vehicle she was driving in an incident along Jalan Seremban–Nilai near Taman Kirby, Batu 9, Labu, on Monday.
The man in his 20s sustained severe injuries in the 3pm incident. He was later pronounced dead on Tuesday after more than 20 hours in critical condition at the hospital.
Nilai District Police Chief Superintendent Johari Yahya said police received a report from a local woman in her 20s at 11.37am on Tuesday.
“The woman informed police that her friend, a man in his 20s, was believed to have fallen from a moving vehicle on Feb 2, 2026 at about 3pm.
“Initial investigations found that the incident occurred while the victim was inside a car driven by the complainant,” he said in a statement on Wednesday.
Johari said the pair were travelling when a discussion took place, after which the victim was believed to have suddenly exited the vehicle.
He said the victim lost consciousness at the scene and suffered severe injuries to the head and legs.
“The victim was taken to Hospital Tuanku Jaafar and was pronounced dead at 12.35pm on Tuesday by a medical officer.
“The case has been classified as sudden death and further investigations are ongoing,” he said.
Johari advised the public not to speculate on the incident and urged anyone with information to facilitate investigations by contacting the nearest police station or the Nilai District Police Headquarters.
