GOMBAK - A 19-year-old girl died after she was believed to have fallen from the 19th floor of a condominium in Batu Caves here on Monday.
Gombak District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir said police from the Gombak District Police Headquarters, together with medical personnel from Selayang Hospital, were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report at 5.49pm.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The victim is believed to have fallen from the 19th floor of the condominium building and was identified as a 19-year-old local woman,” he said in a statement.
He said initial checks at the scene found no elements of foul play, while post-mortem results confirmed the cause of death was severe head injuries consistent with a fall from a height.
The case has been classified as a sudden death report (SDR).
Police advised the public not to speculate on the incident and to respect the privacy of the victim’s family.
